Biophilic design
A lifestyle whose
time has come
Reclaim nature by living your love for life.
What is biophilia? It is the love for life i.e. bio (life) and phil (love). A term introduced by German social psychologist, Eric Fromm in 1964, biophilia has been described as the passionate love of life and of all that
is alive.
Biophilic design is more than just enabling opportunities for nature to coexist in our homes. It isn't just about adding potted plants indoors or vine creepers outdoors. It's much more than that. Biophilic design is about mimicking the many facets of nature to create a truly natural environment, one where flora and fauna can live uninterrupted. Biophilic design is achieved through the use of locally sourced, natural and nature-friendly materials and implementing environment-friendly practices.
A global wellness phenomenon
Nature heals the world and biophilic design serves as the best example for that. Many cities across the world have embraced biophilic design and have begun to see radical changes in health, wellness and natural restoration.
Everything you'll ever see at Lost in the Woods is indigenous to the location. Every tree, plant and bush you find here is indigenous to the soil it grows on, and attracts a range of visitors that are also indigenous to the land they walk upon. Our community’s fundamental philosophy is to thrive together.
